The SAWL Scholarship Fund (“the Fund”) (previously known as the Tan Ah Tah ScholarshipFund) is a charity with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status. It gives out scholarshipsto physically disabled students.
Scholarship Awards under the Fund:
Types of Award
S$300 per year
Vocational Institute or equivalent
S$600 per year
Junior College/Polytechnic or equivalent
S$2,000 per year
Tertiary Education Scholarship
S$5,000 per year
The scholarships are awarded to candidates who are (a) either citizens or permanent residents of Singapore, (b) physically handicapped, and (c) in need of financial assistance.
Candidates pursuing education at secondary, pre-university level or junior colleges, at polytechnics, vocational institutes or Singapore universities are eligible to apply for the scholarships. All applications are reviewed by the Fund's trustees, whose decision on whether to award the scholarships is based on the Fund's criteria, and whose decision on the matter is final.
